Learning arrangements for Albury students
Monday August 16, 2021

Attention Parents and Carers,

Following updated health advice from the Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant about the growing risk to the community, stay at home orders apply to all people who live in regional NSW.

Parents and Carers must keep children across primary and secondary school at home unless they need to be at school. Schools will have minimal supervision on site for those students who cannot be educated at home, for example if their parent or carer is an essential worker.

If you are working from home, and your child is able to be educated from home, please keep them at home.

Students will be required to wear a mask at all times if they need to be at school.

Our on-site operational hours will be as follows:

Stage 5 Students:
9am-12:30pm Monday-Thursday

Stage 6 Students:
9am-12:30 Monday- Friday.

Please see the link below for advice regarding all schools in Greater Sydney and Regional NSW.

A reminder for all families

Students must not attend work or school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Any person with any COVID-19 symptoms must be sent home and not return to school unless:

  • they have isolated for 10 days, when no medical certificate is available
  • they have a negative COVID-19 test result and are symptom free

In circumstances where children have other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms, a letter from their GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.

Anyone who is unwell with COVID-19 symptoms is strongly encouraged to get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is received.

Kind regards,

April Fojtik
Head of School Albury
